| Description |
Paleohora is a large village which has been
popular with tourism for a number of years, no doubt because
of its beautiful beach. |
|
| Getting there |
75 km from Hania on a good road. Several buses
per day. You can also reach Paleohora by boat from other
villages in the south-west of Crete. |
| Atmosphere |
It is a "real" village with a population
of about 2000. Lively and sometimes a little too busy in the
high season but it is very easy to get away from the bustle. |
| Accommodation |
A very wide choice. |
| Restaurants |
Many restaurants of all kinds. |
| Shopping |
Plenty of shops. |
| Nightlife |
Some bars and a discoteque. |
| Beach |
Beautiful long sandy beach, a little exposed
to the West wind. There are several other more protected (pebble)
beaches nearby. There are more beaches further west at Konduras
and Krios. |
